Following my appearance at The CatStrand, I’ve been asked to do an open air gig in September and I wanted to tell you about it.
I’m so excited to say that I’ll be supporting one of Scotland’s most famous (if not THE most famous) folk singers, Emily Smith.
Emily’s in the middle of her UK tour and she’s doing this free-to-attend open air gig at The Plainstanes in the centre of Dumfries. This is her home county so I’m sure there’ll be lots of home support for her – it’s really exciting and I’m so pleased to have asked to support.
If you can come along I’d love for you to give me a wave and a cheer – I’ve got to admit to being a little bit nervous but excited at the same time.
I’m hoping also to perform a brand new song of mine that I’ve not quite finished writing at the moment, so you’ll be the first to hear it – that’s if I get my act together and finish it in time!
I can’t wait and I’m really looking forward to meeting Emily and maybe you too.
