What a way to finish off 2011. Today, Christmas Day, I discovered that I got voted onto the prestigious Dandelion Radio Festive 50.

This is a tradition that the legendary Radio 1 DJ, John Peel started back in the 70’s and it charts the most popular tracks that have been played during the current year. Following John’s death in 2004 the show eventually moved across to Dandelion Radio and Jeff Grainger featured me on his show in November.

So today, just after our Christmas dinner, we started listening to the chart rundown. I am absolutely over the moon to say that my song, 35 Missed Calls made it to 27. Wow!!!

This is a great way to finish this year which has been overwhelming for my music career. I’ve done loads of gigs, supported some fantastic people, got a record deal and have recorded what will become my first ever two singles! Eek!

Yep, sometime in the New Year, 35 Missed Calls is to come out as a single. If you subscribe to this blog you’ll be the first to know when it’s released.

Thank you so much for everyone that’s supported me this year and also to everyone that voted for me on Dandelion Radio!

Have a lovely and an awesome 2012. 🙂
